100 Days to Health - Day 14 | Water

Week 2 –  Day 14 Water Water Everywhere

Tip for the Day

Water is vital for our health. If you want to take full control of your physical and mental well-being, then it is important to include this precious fluid into your daily routine. Always let you first choice be water when you are thirsty.

Filtered water is the best option as some tap water is contaminated by harmful substances for example heavy metals from old piping. Our bodies are designed to quench its thirst with water.

Sometimes we confuse the signals for hunger and thirst. When you feel hungry, drink a glass of water and then decide for yourself if it was hunger or nothing more than plain thirst.

We also need more water when we exercise because we loose fluid through sweating and perspiration. So while get moving in Week 2, remember to take you water along to avoid unnecessary dehydration.

Good habit # 1 will also ensure fluids in your diet. Remember that fruit contains 80% water, so naturally a diet high in fresh raw fruit and vegetables will supply a great deal of the water our bodies need.

“Leave all afternoon for exercise and recreation, which are necessary as reading. I will rather say more necessary because health is worth more than learning.”
