100 Days to Health - Day 027 | Fruit Combinations

Week 4 –  Day 27 Fruit Combinations

Tip for the Day

Most people find that certain fruits do not digest comfortably with others and this is simply because of the fruits nutrient structure. For example, sweet fruits have a very high sugar content and are digested like starches, whereas acid fruits are digested similar to proteins.

You may find you feel fine when you mix different fruits together. Listening to your body is more important than food combining, so keep this in mind as you add more good fruit.

One of the signs, that your body gives you when you have had enough to eat, is a ‘sigh’ and then you should stop eating. Try listening to your body and record the meals where you notice this.

The long time golfer, Gary Player, is a fine example of fitness and health. Over the years I have helped him fine-tune his diet and his greatest asset to his discipline is in ” pushing his plate away” when he has had enough and in his 70’s he is still playing competitive golf.
