100 Days to Health - Day 4 | Got Raw

Week 1 –  Day 4 (Get a little RAW)

Tip for the Day

Raw fruit and vegetables contain natural antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. These all help the body do repair work very efficiently and this is what helps slow down the ageing process as well as keep you healthy.

Eating easy digestible raw fruit and vegetables also allows your body to have more energy available to do the cleaning and restoring required to live in perfect health.

Recipe for the Day

Quick Hummus

1 can garbanzo beans/chickpeas*** with liquid

3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

1/2 cup filtered water

Juice of 1 lemon

1 tsp ground cumin

1/2 cup tahini/sesame seed paste

2 tsp Mary-Ann’s Garlic and Herb Salt

Blend the beans with the lemon juice, water and spices until smooth.

Add the tahini last and a little water if a creamier consistency is required.

Serve on slices of ripe tomatoes or cucumber or as a dip for any raw vegetables…

*** If beans upset your stomach, try the same amount of peeled zucchini squash.
