100 Days to Health Program - Hall of fame

Hi Mary Anne,

Thanks for your gorgeous 100 day program!

For the past 11 years I have followed the healthy lifestyle but as I started to study (for my masters in nursing family practioner ) it started to slip as I became too busy to chop and peel and basically I suppose I became lazy as it was easy to drink copious amounts of coffee and eat "dead" food.

Well my body had enough and I was in the most severe pain. As a registered nurse (in Sydney - Australia) I see patients ( so much in children) with all sorts of lifestyle inflicted illness and always tell them about Mary-Anne's yet I was doing the opposite. I was told I need surgery, I hade irritable bowl syndrome, they should check for cancer...I had to stop wheat (not a bad call) stop or reduce fruit and vegetables! Stop my Barley life! I remember looking at the specialist and thinking goodness me is this why we see so many patients in the ward with bowel cancer and other problems ....what a load of croc .. stop fruit and vegetables!

I asked him to give me few weeks and on week 4, am free of pain and yes loving my fruit and fresh veggies. So a lesson learnt for me - it is not hard or expensive to be healthy it certainly out ways consequences.

You are a blessing to many Maryanne and often wish I could bottle your enthusiasm!

Warm Regards from Sydney

Hi Mary Anne,

I feel great thank you, and have learnt, so much from this 100 days programme. I have eaten like this for the last 10 years, but about 3 years ago we moved in with my dad after my mom died, to look after him. He had a cook woman, and the meals she made were not like what we used to eat. And because I have a very busy shop on the beach front, it was easy to slowly begin to compromise and eat badly combined meals, as they were coked before I got home, the result of course was slowly but surly flab started to appear, and I became sluggish, and so it went on. Just like when your cupboards, get a bit untidy, you start to not worry and put anything anywhere. I have always though not had anything in the house that had preservatives in it, and had fruit for breakfast, and always had a big salad at meal times.  Our made retired 6 months ago, and I do the cooking now, so it is much easier, and my dad is getting used to this way. Because he was a diabetic ( he got better because of the slight change of diet I managed to bring about) I am a bit afraid to give him too much fruit.

I asked my son to print all the news letters from this year, and read the letter from the lady who said her husband is a diabetic, and the advice you gave her. I chatted to my dad this am who is 86, and is forever complaining about a blocked nose, cough and cold, and suggested we put him on fruit only in the morning, - tea time, an apple and orange juice, so as to cut out the gluten from the oats and milk from his diet. Thought I would try it for a week and see how it goes.  It is very difficult to get these men on board, unless they get it in their hearts.  My hubby is on track with me at the moment, but cheats often when at work. I Praying for him to catch the drift.  Please advise.

Doing the 100 days has been a pleasure, and loving every moment of it. Because I am rather active I found the walking programme so enjoyable, and started walking ¾ hour a day, which I have never done regularly before. I went straight on the the Natural Way, and following all the other tips, herbal fiber and the flax seed tab, and increased my water intake. My hubby and I do beet carrot, apple and ginger 3x a week ( now I see why I never got tired after my ¾ hour walks),  (your beetroot info)  After today’s e-mail will get going with all the vegie recipes.

Regards

Sandy

Dear Mary-Ann and Mark,

The hundred days to health program has indeed made me aware of all sorts
of aspects of healthy eating and living. Thank you so much.

I would so like to reconnect and receive the course again. ( Is it still
free?)

I love receiving the various health news letters. Please continue your
work. It enables others to do their work!

Love Margi.
